Write, solve, and share math in one place

A document-style editor built for STEM: inline equations, one-click simplification, and PDF export—no plugins or app switching required.

Why Scientific Editor?

Students and educators often juggle word processors, equation editors, and calculators. Scientific Editor unifies text, math, solve, and export in a single document experience.

Without Scientific Editor

  • Type in Word, paste equations from another tool
  • Copy expressions into a calculator or CAS to solve
  • Re-export or screenshot for PDF handouts

With Scientific Editor

  • Write prose and equations in the same document
  • Click Solve to simplify or evaluate any equation
  • Export to PDF or image with one click

Features in detail

Everything you need to create, edit, and share scientific documents.

Math and text in one document

Insert LaTeX-style equations inline with your text. No separate equation editor window — equations live right where you write, just like in Google Docs.

Math virtual keyboard

Click any equation to edit it. A built-in math keyboard appears so you can type symbols, fractions, roots, and more without memorizing LaTeX.

Instant solve & simplify

Focus an equation and click Solve (or press F9). The editor uses the MathLive Compute Engine to simplify, evaluate, and show the result in a popover — ideal for homework and step-checking.

B I U

Rich text editing

Font family, size, bold, italic, underline, text color, and highlight. Format your document the way you want, with full keyboard shortcuts (e.g. ⌘B, ⌘I, ⌘U).

📄

Export to PDF & image

Export your document as a multi-page PDF (one page per editor page) or as a single PNG image. Perfect for submissions, handouts, and sharing.

📁

Files & folders

Save and open documents from the sidebar. Organize with folders, search files by name, and switch between list and tile views. Your work stays organized.

🌓

Light, dark & sepia

Choose a theme that fits your environment. Light for daytime, dark for late-night work, sepia for a softer look. Your preference is remembered.

Keyboard shortcuts

New page (⌘⇧N), insert equation (Alt+=), solve (F9), export PDF (⌘⇧P), export image (⌘⇧E), save (⌘S). Work faster without leaving the keyboard.

How it works

  1. Create or open a document — Start from the sidebar or open an existing file.
  2. Write text and insert equations — Use the ∑ Math button or Alt+= to add an equation; edit with the math keyboard.
  3. Solve when you need it — Click inside an equation and press Solve (or F9) to simplify or evaluate.
  4. Export or save — Save to your library, or export to PDF/image for sharing.
